JAMIE COULTER - The Reason I Do What I Do
Jamie Coulter, the “three foot tall man with a ten foot tall voice,” presents his newest recording, “The Reason I Do What I Do.” Jamie says, “We worked on this project more than we have ever worked on a project in the past. And to be honest, it has paid off. I feel that this project has turned out to be the best we have ever done.”
Each song on this project is original material from Jamie, except for “The Lighthouse,” a favorite written by Ronnie Hinson. Made famous by the Hinsons years ago, this treasured song has become a classic in Southern Gospel music. Other songs on "The Reason I Do What I Do" include the title song, “The Reason I Do What I Do,” “That’s Where You Brought Me From” and “With A Little Faith.”
Jamie Coulter was born with a rare disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. Jamie and his family experienced many years of operations, broken bones, as well as countless trips to the hospital. Even through the hard times they were enduring, little Jamie began the journey that the Lord had in store for his life. At the young age of six years old, Jamie began a ministry that he would faithfully carry out for the rest of his life. As Jamie matured, the frequency of the bone breakage diminished, enabling him to energetically pursue his dreams and aspirations and live a full and exciting life. As an adult, Jamie is only thirty six inches tall, weighs about 70 pounds and uses a skateboard to walk. He has lived a most unusual life, but it is when he sings and preaches the word of God that Jamie truly shines.
