MYLON HAYES FAMILY - Wonderful Words Of Life
With a smooth and fluid sound and a beautiful vocal blend, the Mylon Hayes family has created a remarkable project with their first album, "Wonderful Words Of Life." The group features parents Mylon and Wendy Hayes, Conner and Bailey (their 13-year-old twin sons) and Kennedy (their nine-year-old daughter). While Mylon performs regularly with the Hayes Family, this album showcases his own family's musical talents. Mylon says "This is the first project of just our family and we're thrilled about this new work God has placed on our hearts to do. We are not trying to compete or take the place of The Hayes Family, whom I still sing with, but with the limited schedule The Hayes Family currently keeps there are opportunities for us to sing some as well. We are excited about that and are open to what the Lord might do with this effort." Despite their young ages, the children have a depth and control to their voices that puts many older, more experienced singers to shame. Many songs throughout this project feature their solid sound. "Wonderful Words Of Life" is a great CD and a stunning first release from the Mylon Hayes family.
The album leads off with a charming, upbeat rendition of "Bigger Than Any Mountain." The song proclaims the message that God is bigger than any of the challenges of life and He is "bigger than any mountains that I can or cannot see." The group has released this classic Gordon Jensen song to radio. It's an encouraging song performed on the album with the passion and energy that flows through this entire CD.
The title song, "Wonderful Words Of Life," is more contemplative than many of the other songs on the album, but it has a stirring strength to it that gives credit to Philip P. Bliss's writing. "God Makes No Mistakes" and "The Finished Tapestry" are two more peaceful songs, contributing to the diversity of sound on the album. The energetic sound of "He Is God" is bubbly and uplifting, as are many of the other songs such as "I Want To Be More Like Jesus." The family's singing exudes an honest energy that drives the message-filled music on this project. The Mylon Hayes Family's "Wonderful Words Of Life" album is an excellent, fun CD that you're sure to enjoy.
