PERRYS - Celebrate Me Home DVD
"Celebrate Me Home" from the Perrys is a DVD filled with stories and songs from this much-
loved Southern Gospel mixed group. Featuring Tracy and Libbi Stuffle, Joseph Habedank and
Bryan Walker, the current lineup of the Perrys is talented and dedicated to their ministry. As their
website says, "Together, the Perrys produce a classic, yet unique blend that continues to inspire
long-time fans while also appealing to the next generation." This DVD takes viewers behind-the-
scenes into the Oak Tree studios where group members tell candid stories in addition to making
beautiful music. "Celebrate Me Home" continues the group's award-winning tradition of
speaking to the hearts and minds of audiences around the world.
The DVD's title song, "Celebrate Me Home," won a Dove award for Southern Gospel song of
the year in 2012. On the DVD, Tracy tells a story about how this song from Joel Lindsey and
Wayne Haun touched a woman's life in a dark time, reflecting the power of both the song's
message and the group's ministry. 2010 Southern Gospel Song of the Year "If You Knew Him"
presents a powerful message about our living Savior, Jesus, and our personal relationship with
Him. Group member Joseph Habedank, who co-wrote the song with Rodney Griffin, talks about
writing it. Another story on the DVD comes from Bryan Walker, the group's newest member, as
he recounts how he came to join the Perrys. Bryan shares a bit about his journey on American
Idol and how that led to the group before demonstrating his vocal talents on "Great Is Thy
Faithfulness," the classic hymn.
The DVD includes other popular songs such as "I Know It Was The Blood" and "Plan Of
Salvation," all with an unique view of the singers and musicians performing in the studio. From
the opening song, "Every Time I Need Him," to the DVD's closing with the powerful "I Wish I
Could Have Been There," this project provides a fresh look at the Perrys as they share their
passion for touching lives through heartfelt song.
