BARRY ROWLAND & DELIVERANCE - Heaven
Since 2004, Barry Rowland & Deliverance have presented the Gospel message through song and testimony. Although they’ve played on major stages across America and have had dozens of Singing News Top 40 hits, their mission is not simply to entertain. Their main purpose is to reach a lost and dying world and bring hearts to Christ. Their newest album, the group’s first recording on the Family Music Group label, is entitled “Heaven” and brings listeners the great sound that Barry Rowland & Deliverance is known for.
Today’s group is made up of Barry Rowland (baritone), Tammy Rowland and Matthew Burgess. Barry is the son of the multi-award winning songwriter, Kyla Rowland, who wrote or co-wrote most of the songs on the album. She wrote “Sing About Going Home,” “Still No Room,” “Like It’s Already Done” and “No Introductions,” among others. “Holy Fire,” by Harvey Gene Smith, leads off the recording and is also the album’s first single to radio.
On the album liner notes, the group says, “Heaven. What an unimaginable place! Jesus told us He was going to prepare us a place that is beyond compare.... This album not only shares a glimpse of heaven, but also points to the cross. That is where the greatest transaction was ever made when Jesus purchased our redemption. We hope these songs minister, encourage and challenge those who listen.” Join Barry Rowland & Deliverance as they sing about “Heaven.”
